She is most well-known for her role as Jane Kerkovich Williams in ABC's comedy series Happy Endings, Denise Mahoney and Hannah Wyland on Quantico. She starred in the Fox comedy Pivoting in 2022. Most recently she had an appearance in the Netflix series Murderville, episode-Who killed Santa.After the college years, Coupe took classes in comedy improvisation at The Groundlings and ImprovOlympic. In 2003 she was on tour in France as a soldier in an all-female adaptation of King Lear. The show she performed as a solo artist, The Patriots (a sketch show by her) first aired in November of 2005 at the Upright Citizens Brigade Theatre. She won the Breakout Performer Award at HBO U.S. Comedy Arts Festival in Aspen, Colorado in March 2006. Between December 2007 and June 2013 Coupe was married to Randall Whittinghill, an actor instructor and puppeteer. She announced her engagement via Instagram on November 27, 2014. The couple was married on December 24 of 2014 while they were on holiday in New Zealand. They filed for divorce on the 24th of December 2014. Between April 2011 until May 2013, Coupe was a regular in ABC's ensemble comedy show Happy Endings, along with Zachary Knighton (Adam Pally), Damon Wayans Jr., Casey Wilson, and Zachary Knighton. Following the conclusion of its third season, ABC cancelled the show despite critical acclaim. After Happy Endings was cancelled, she played a recurring part in the third season of House of Lies. She also appeared alongside Jay Harrington on the comedy series Benched. It premiered on October 28, 2014. In the following season, she played the role in the role of Hannah Wyland in Quantico, an ABC thriller.
