Amy Smart is a former American actress and model. Amy Smart, born and raised California USA began her modelling in Italy. The first time she acted was in 1996's TV production Her Costly Affair. Her fight to secure a part in Starship Troopers, a film with mainly minor roles was very intense. Amy struggled to make the transition from modeling to acting since models are not usually considered to be actors of any kind. They are usually given smaller roles that aren't important. However, Amy did not give up and transitioned to larger roles, beginning with the show The 70s and the film Varsity Blues. The 2005 romantic comedy Just Friends, which also had Ryan Reynolds, saw her perform more prominent role. Amy was finally recognized by the industry for her performance throughout the previous 10 years. She did some big films in the Crank trilogy opposite Jason Statham. And she also played a recurring role on the Shameless series.
