Amy Smart, an American model, actress and actor. Amy Smart, who was born and raised California USA began her modelling in Italy. Her Costly Affair, a 1996 TV film, was her first performance. Following a long and difficult battle, she landed a role in the 'Starship Troopers' series the film Starship Troopers. Amy struggled to make the shift to acting because models weren't considered an actor, so they generally were offered smaller parts. Amy did not give up. She climbed the ladder into bigger roles, beginning with The 70s series and Varsity Blues film. In 2005, she was cast on the lead role in The romantic comedic film Just Friends with Ryan Reynolds. Amy achieved the fame she had been searching for for more than 10 years when her film, Just Friends was released. Amy went on to appear in major movies like the Crank Series alongside Jason Statham, and Shameless.
