Anna Silk was born in Fredericton as the child of Peter Silk, an academic and Ilkay Silk, a multi-talented actor as well as a producer, director and playwright, teacher, and director of drama at St. Thomas University. Anna was born in Fredericton, the child of the couple Peter Silk and Ilkay Silk. Her mother is a "English-Turkish Cypriot expat" who hails originally from Britain.
