Dolly-Parton
Dolly Parton was born on January 19, 1946, on the 19th of January 1946 in Locust Ridge Tenn. She was raised alongside 12 other kids. Her imaginative mind was a great way to get away from the pressures of daily life. Prior to learning how to read or write she wrote her own music. The guitar that she first received was presented to her at the age of eighteen. She started singing at the Knoxville Tenn station by the age of eleven. That same time, Gold Band Records was an independent label. In high school she made herself known to the local community, however her goals were bigger. In 1964, the day after her high school graduation her family moved to Nashville. Dumb Blonde (both 1967) as well as Something Fishy were among her first Monument Records chart-topping records. Porter Wagoner, a syndicated show on TV at the time, was in search for a singer on his show. Parton became a member of Grand Ole Opry 1969 after having signed to RCA Records. The band split in 1974 when her solo songs like Joshua Coat of Many Colors and Jolene outsold the collaborations. The two split in 1974, Parton wrote the song I Will Always Love You for Wagoner and it climbed to the top spot at No. The first time that a song was able to reach No.
